and lower precipitation compared to other provinces of Northern Thailand.
This sweltering climate contributes to the perfectly dried Khao Tan.
Lampang Khao Tan is either made of RD6 glutinous rice (white sticky rice)
or black glutinous rice. With a recipe that has been honed over time by the Lanna people,
the glutinous rice is shaped, dried and fried to perfect crispiness then sprinkled with sugar cane syrup.
It is a perfect snack for any occasions.
