Gangnam Style Barbecue Fried Chicken
Ingredients
• Chicken Wings 6 pcs.
• Chicken Drumettes 6 pcs.
• All-purpose Flour 90 g.
• Corn Starch 45 g.
• Rice Bran Oil
• Water 100 + 250 ml.
• Mccormick Chili & Pepper BBQ Sauce 50 g.
• Gochujang 20 g.
• Corn Syrup 30 g.
• Ginger (chopped) 1 tbsp
• Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
• Sesame Oil 2 tsp
• Roasted White Sesame Seeds 1 tbsp
• Spring Onion 1 tbsp
• Pickles for serving
How to cook
1. Mix all-purpose flour and corn starch together.
2. Dip into flour then water and back into the flour. Fry in the oil at 180°C until cooked and crispy.
3. Boil 100 ml of water with ginger and garlic. Strain and mix with Mccormick Chili & Pepper BBQ Sauce, gochujang and corn syrup.
4. Simmer until thickened, add the sesame oil. Stir well and mix the chicken wings with the sauce to coat well.
5. Sprinkle spring onions and roasted sesame seeds, serve with pickles.
